The NFL really did a number on us with by having Matt Ryan, Kirk Cousins, and Drew Brees (and Trevor Siemian) all sitting the same week, then having the 49ers play the Colts and the Jets play the Browns. That basically takes away five plus matchups (counting the Saints) from which we could find sleepers. Instead, we have some good-but-not-great QBs in mediocre-to-bad matchups in our top 12 (Cam Newton @ Lions, Ben Roethlisberger vs. Jaguars, etc.).

For now, we’re ranking Mariota (hamstring) and Carr (back), but neither are sure things to play. If they’re out, the pickings will get even slimmer, and Eli Manning and Philip Rivers could play even more prominent roles in Week 5 matchups. Thanks, Goodell. (Update: Carr has been ruled out.)
