WEEK 13 NON-PPR RANKINGS:Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker
Is Zach Ertz playing in Week 13?
UPDATE 2: Ertz is officially ACTIVE.
UPDATE 1: NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported early Sunday morning that Ertz is “pushing to play”.
It was reported on Friday that there is “optimism” that Ertz will suit up against Miami, and given his tough-guy reputation, there is reason to believe that. It doesn’t hurt that Philadelphia still very much has a division title in its sights.
WEEK 13 PPR RANKINGS: Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end
If Ertz is active, it will be tough to sit him, especially against a soft defense like Miami’s. He might play fewer snaps than usual, but given the sorry state of the TE position, he’s still a must-start option. If Ertz is out (and, honestly, even if he’s active), Dallas Goedert makes for a fine TE start. He’s already playing nearly every snap, so Ertz’s injury should just result in more targets and opportunities against one of the worst defenses in the NFL.
If you’re looking for more emergency fill-in options, Tyler Higbee (filling in for Gerald Everett) has the best matchup for TEs against Arizona, and Kaden Smith (filling in for Evan Engram and Rhett Ellison) also has a great matchup against the Packers. You can also take a chance with Nick O’Leary in a great matchup against the Bucs. Jack Doyle might be available, too, and he’s in line for more targets with Eric Ebron (ankle) out.
