Damien Harris injury update, Week 3 fantasy outlook

Harris (knee) limped off the field in the fourth quarter of New England’s 17-14 road victory over Pittsburgh in Week 2 and has the chance to land on the Patriots’ injury report come Wednesday. Harris came up clutch for fantasy owners on Sunday, posting 71 rushing yards and a rushing TD on 15 attempts to go along with hauling in two receptions for 16 yards.

Harris did all of this despite being out-snapped by fellow RB Rhamondre Stevenson 42-27, but if active, Harris is still a worthwhile RB2/flex play heading into the Patriots’ Week 3 home contest against the Ravens. It’s hard to get concrete answers regarding players’ injury statues in New England, but considering Harris said “I’m fine, dog” in the postgame presser, that’s a good sign. We’ll continue to monitor his status as the week progresses. If he’s out, Stevenson would become a high-end RB2.

James Conner injury update, Week 3 fantasy outlook

UPDATE: Conner’s ankle injury is not considered “long-term or serious,” but his Week 3 availability is still up in the air.

Conner (ankle) left Arizona’s Week 2 come-from-behind victory over Las Vegas in the third quarter and didn’t return to action. His Week 2 ended with 10 carries for 26 yards along with five receptions for 29 yards.

WEEK 3 PPR RANKINGS:QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

If Conner were to miss the Cardinals’ Week 3 contest against the Rams, fellow RBs Eno Benjamin and Darrel Williams are the next RBs up. Once Conner exited, Benjamin logged five carries and saw four targets while Williams logged eight carries and three targets. He had more yards and got the call on a one-yard touchdown plunge. Conner still has RB2/flex value if he’s healthy for the Cardinals’ Week 3 road test against the Rams, but if he’s unable to go, Benjamin and Williams have flex appeal in deeper formats. Pending positive news on Conner, both Williams and Benjamin are worth picking up, as we don’t know who the lead guy will be.
