Half of the NFL has already its bye, so it’s a little trickier to match up bye weeks when offering a trade. That can make trading difficult, but it can be worth it to “lose a game” depending on your place in the standings. Sometimes, you’ll have to throw in a sweetener to get the deal done. You might not like it, but, again, if you’re doing well and just trying to shore up your starters for later in the season, giving away a depth piece isn’t the worst thing....

Philip Rivers, QB, Chargers. Despite losing another receiver Sunday (Malcom Floyd), Rivers stayed hot, throwing for 419 yards and three TDs with no turnovers against the Eagles. His stock is rising, along with Eddie Royal, who has five TDs through two games and looks to be Rivers’ go-to receiver. Rivers, who went undrafted in several fantasy leagues, is currently the No. 3 QB in standard formats and looks to be benefitting from the arrival of head coach and QB guru Mike McCoy....
