Either way, life isn’t fun with so many teams on bye, which means you might have to play some guys you have no interest in playing. This article has been beating the Gardner Minshew drum hard each week, and he finally shot up in ownership to nearly 50 percent after throwing for 374 yards and rushing for 42 in Week 5. Until he creeps above that ownership limit for this list, though, he’ll keep showing up. Last week’s watch list also suggested picking up Kirk Cousins ahead of two good matchups, and after he took advantage of one, owners that grabbed him have to be feeling good about his Week 6 chances to come through again....

The Chiefs drop the furthest, going from No. 2 in our preseason rankings to 18th in Week 1 thanks to a matchup with the defending champs in New England. The Bills make the biggest move up, going from a draft-day afterthought to a big-time Week 1 sleeper thanks to a matchup against the Jets. Quite a few of of our preseason sleepers have nice matchups to start the year. The Panthers (@ 49ers), Jaguars (@ Texans), and the Chargers (@ Broncos), are all legit starting units, but the Vikings (vs....

Unfortunately, there isn’t much else on the wire, so no one is going to be setting his or her alarm for 5:30 am ET (approximately when waivers run most weeks) to grab the leftover free agents. (Admit it, diehard fantasy owners – you’ve done this once or twice.) There are a few intriguing WRs (Tyreek Hill, Taylor Gabriel, Michael Floyd…kind of), some bye-week fill-in TEs and D/STs, and a few more RB stashes, but it’s a weak week....

Don’t worry, it’s not all uninspiring RBs and Cole Beasley on our full waiver list. With four teams on bye next week (Packers, Raiders, Seahawks, Steelers), there’s a good chance you’ll be looking for streamers at TE, D/ST and maybe even QB or WR. We have covered with matchup-based one-week wonders. None are likely worth worth waiver claims, but all are possibilities on the free agent market once waivers clear....
